Jamie Antinore is an undergraduate student at East Carolina University pursuing a BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in graphic design and illustration. She has worked in print & layout design at the ECU’s newspaper, The East Carolinian, and marketing design at the campus’ Eakin Student Recreation Center. She focuses on creating clean, character-focused, & narrative compositions using geometric illustrations, texture, and alignment. She values using limited and monochrome color palettes with a wide range of values to help create emphasis on the characters and narratives she illustrates. She aims to communicate a wide variety of tones and themes by tailoring her illustrative approach to represent them. She enjoys work that focuses on the interactions between multiple characters or a character and their environment, as well as incorporating hand-written typography into her illustrations.
